Terms of use

These terms are an agreement between you and Beesam Systems Ltd, which runs LifeCanvas. By creating an account you agree to them. Our privacy policy explains how we handle your data.

Your account

• You need to be at least 13 years old to use LifeCanvas.
• Keep your password safe. You're responsible for what happens in your account; tell us if you think someone else has access.
• One person per account, please.

Your content

Everything you write and upload stays yours. You give us permission to store, process and display it only so we can run the service for you - for example to show it back to you, create the exports and PDFs you ask for, or share a canvas when you create a share link. You can download or delete your content at any time.

Please don't use LifeCanvas to store or share anything illegal, or content that infringes other people's rights.

Sharing and emails you send

Share links, invites and farewell emails are sent because you asked us to. Only send them to people you know who would want to receive them. We limit how many can be sent to prevent misuse.

Free and Pro plans

• The free plan includes journaling, moods, photos, year reviews and full data export.
• Pro is a subscription billed in advance for each period through Stripe. It renews automatically until you cancel; cancelling stops the next renewal and Pro stays active until the end of the period you've paid for.
• If you're a consumer in the UK or EU you may have a legal right to cancel within 14 days of first subscribing. Beyond that, payments aren't refundable except where the law requires it.
• We'll give you at least 30 days' notice of any price change, and it will apply from your next renewal.

The service

We work hard to keep LifeCanvas running and your data safe, but the service is provided “as is” and may occasionally be unavailable. We recommend downloading a copy of your journal from time to time. We may change or retire features; if we ever shut LifeCanvas down we'll give you at least 60 days to export your data.

Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time from your profile. We may suspend accounts that break these terms or put other users or the service at risk; where possible we'll tell you first and let you export your data.

Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud. Otherwise, we aren't liable for indirect or unforeseeable losses, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. If you use LifeCanvas as a consumer, you keep all your statutory rights.

Changes and contact

If we change these terms in a meaningful way we'll let you know before the change applies. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Questions? Get in touch.
